Tristan Cranfield is a freelance translator of Arabic and French to English. Having studied in Oxford, Damascus and Cairo, he now works in London providing translations of fiction and poetry to a variety of journals and publishing houses. Past contributions include translations of poetry and short stories from Lebanon, Algeria and Palestine for the highly acclaimed anthology Beirut 39 published by Bloomsbury, and poetry from Tunisia, Iraq and Libya for Banipal Magazine.
